The wiki entry on the achievements page for the "Safety First" achievement says bots will never friendly fire you. However, they can if a bullet they fire goes through a zombie and ignites a gas can that harms another player. This happened to me when trying to get the achievement. On the end screen I had no friendly fire incidents but Louis had two from doing the above.
